Session Time and Grade Level Information

Grades 1-3:
8:30am - 10:00am
OR
1:00pm - 2:30pm
Campers should be comfortable pedaling a bicycle on two wheels and willing to ride on a variety of surfaces from pavement and grass to gravel and dirt. We focus on safety first and will kick off each day with a bike and helmet check plus key points to “Street Smarts” and etiquette. Campers will build skills like braking, balancing, turning and the big one, riding while standing! We use a variety of fun challenge stations, games and good old riding! We will ride terrain that varies from wide enough to drive a bus all the way down to singletrack which requires single file riding. The goal is to build some confidence and grit with small doses of leadership so campers are prepared for future bike adventures.

Grades 4-8
10:30am - 12:00pm
OR
3:00pm - 4:30pm
Campers should be comfortable overall with basic bicycle riding skills; pedaling on two wheels, braking to a stop without skidding and turning. We focus on safety first and will kick off each day with a bike and helmet check plus key points to “Street Smarts” and etiquette. Campers will build upon current skills and be challenged with stations for track stands, tight turns, quick stop/acceleration, and high level handling skills. We push forward on all skills by putting a strong emphasis on bike fit and being comfortable with a variety of terrain. Campers will learn to be good mountain bike ambassadors, build some grit and learn how to teach others when appropriate.
