COST:    $50.00 Per Person - Now - March 30th (Early Registration!)
               $65.00 Per Person - March 31st - April 10th (Registration)
               $75.00 Per Person - April 11th - April 18th (Late Registration)

REGISTRATION INFO:
  • Registration now until April 16th is Online or In-Office
  • Registration on April 17th is IN-OFFICE only
  • Registration on April 18th (Race Day) is at the starting line of the race
  • Start Line is located at Kenduskeag Union Church. Cash or Check ONLY for race day registrations! 
  • Registrations from April 11-18th - Starting time will be toward end of race
  • An email will be sent a week prior to race with your BIB # and Start Time
  • No phone registrations please!
ADDITIONAL RACE DETAILS:
  • Total distance is 16.5 Miles
  • Boat sticker goes on "Left Bow" of boat
  • Bibs should be secured on TOP of the life jacket, of front person in boat
  • Three portages total (1 optional, 2 mandatory)
  • Safety personnel will be along shoreline at certain sections of the race
  • Race Packets can be picked up In-Office between April 14th-17th
  • Race Packets will includes Bibs, Boat Sticker, Apparel & More
  • Awards will be held at the Sea Dog Brewing Co. 
  • FREE Chili, Chowda, & awards ceremony location sponsored by Sea Dog Brewing Co.
  • FREE Warming Tent with snacks sponsored by Darlings Ford VW Audi, Darling's Honda Nissan Volmo, and Darling's Kia dealerships, along with Darling's Insurance Agency
  • Race will be televised LIVE from 1pm to 3pm on WABI TV channel 5
  • WKIT 100.3 will provide LIVE radio coverage throughout the race, with on-site reporting from the starting line, 6 Mile Falls, and the finish line.

CLASSIFICATION DESCRIPTIONS
OPEN CLASS - For race teams numbering three or more canoeists or for a craft that is not classified as a canoe or kayak (or cannot fit the requirements of any other class).  This class is also for racers who wish to propel their watercraft with something other than a paddle.  (i.e. oars, or setting pole)
EXPERIENCED CLASS - For paddlers with previous canoe racing experience who are comfortable racing at a competitive pace. These classes allow the use of “racing” canoes built from any material (wood strip, fiberglass, Kevlar, etc.) and may include REC type canoes as well. Now called Unlimited in ACA rules.
BEGINNER CLASS – No individual in the boat has ever placed first, second, or third in any organized race, in any class. Canoes can include both Recreation and “Racing” canoes.
RECREATION CLASS - For casual paddlers who canoe for fun rather than competition. Ideal for families, friends, or mixed-skill teams. Recreation Class also includes ANY CRAFT sold for general recreational use.  For example: ABS, polyethylene kayaks and canoes, as well as aluminum, or wood/canvas canoes are acceptable.
NOTE: Kevlar, fiberglass or wood strip canoes are NOT accepted

WAIVER FORM:
A Waiver Form MUST be filled out and returned to Bangor Parks & Recreation! Forms can
be submitted via Email, Mail or In-Person. A physical copy of form is required after
