Travel Basketball 2021
 
Please see below for more Travel Information to determine if this program is a good fit for your child.  If not, we do offer an In House program for grades 2-3, 4-5 & 6, 7 & 8.  CLICK HERE for the In House program.

At this time, masks are required for all participants, fans and staff when in the Bangor Parks and Recreation Center and any Bangor School.
During the season, our teams will follow the guidelines and regulations at any of the facilities we play at.

-Competitive Basketball Program
-Geared for the more experienced player
-Teams will practice 1 or 2x per week
-Games are mostly played on Sundays
-Traveling is required in Eastern Maine
-Game distance can range up to 100 miles away
-Players are not guaranteed equal playing time
-Teams enter tournaments at the end of the season


Grade 3-4 Girls Spots Open
 
Travel teams are part of the EMBBL (Eastern Maine Basketball League) and play teams from other towns in the same league. 

To become a coach, please CLICK HERE to register as a coach and fill out volunteer form.  Registering as a coach does not guarantee a coaching position.   

Who can register for Tryouts
Bangor & Veazie Residents and/or attend Bangor Public Schools are eligible

Information
  • PLEASE pre-register for upcoming TRYOUTS. $125 due when registering. If not selected for a travel team, player will automatic be registered for the House League (price difference will be refunded to family)
  • All players MUST be present at tryouts in order to be considered or placed on a team. Anyone who cannont make the scheduled tryouts MUST notify Debbie Gendreau (debbie.gendreau@bangormaine.gov or 992-4490) prior to the tryout date!
  • Anyone interested in becoming a coach, please download the attached volunteer coaches form above and send it back to parks and recreation
  • Bangor High School Boys Varsity Coach Brad Libby & Girls Varsity Coach Jay Kemble will be assisting with TRY-OUTS!!!
